Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu known to the world as Sidhu Moose Wala, wasn’t your typical melody maker. His music pulsed with rebellion, his raps a blend of swagger and social commentary. He rose from humble beginnings to become a global icon, but fame’s glittering path often hides treacherous shadows. In 2022, that darkness would tragically claim him, leaving behind a legacy as vibrant and unforgettable as his music.
Following months of speculation, Sidhu Moose Wala’s father, Balkaur Singh, has definitively denied rumours surrounding his wife Charan Kaur’s pregnancy.
News outlets initially reported in February 2024 that the couple, grieving the tragic loss of their son in May 2022, were expecting a child through IVF treatment. However, Balkaur Singh took to Facebook to address the ongoing rumours, expressing gratitude to fans for their concern but firmly requesting an end to speculation.
“We are grateful to Sidhu’s well-wishers who are concerned about our family,” Singh wrote in Punjabi. “But we request you not to believe the many rumours being circulated about the family. Any news will be shared by the family with all of you.”
The news comes as a relief to some who had expressed concern about the emotional toll such a pregnancy might take on the grieving parents. Sidhu Moose Wala, born Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was their only child. The rising Punjabi music star was tragically shot and killed in May 2022. His parents have since become vocal advocates for justice in his case.
While rumours of a potential new chapter have been laid to rest, Sidhu’s music continues to resonate with fans worldwide. His legacy as a musical pioneer lives on, with his songs garnering millions of views even after his passing.
