The four-day 17th Aalmi Urdu Conference 2024 is set to commence today with high security on session venues.
The opening ceremony of the conference will be held at YMCA ground. To facilitate the smooth flow of traffic in nearby roads of YMCA, police have made arrangements.
Traffic police have announced the road closure timings for the conference. According to the schedule, the road from MR Kiyani Chowk to the Governor’s House will be closed from 4 pm to 9 pm throughout the event.
The road from Masjid Ahl-e-Hadees to the Sindh Assembly will also be closed. On these roads commercial vehicles will not allowed. Moreover the entry points of Press Club Chowk and Shaheen Complex will also be closed during the conference session.
The opening ceremony of Aalmi Urdu Conference 2024 will be held at the YMCA Ground, scheduled for 5pm. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will attend the ceremony as a chief guest and will deliver the welcome address.
Eminent writers and poets will participate in the sessions of International Urdu Conference. The main focus of this conference is to is to honor the Urdu language and discuss significant steps for its promotion. The conference will held 64 sessions to address diverse range of topics.
