Over 15 are killed while 25 sustained injuries in exchange of firing between rival groups in Lower Kurram.
As per local police report the violence is escalating in Lower Kurram, as rival tribes are engaging in intense exchanges of heavy and automatic gunfire. These clashes have forced the locals to enclave into their houses.
This dispute is triggered by an attack on passenger vehicles on Thursday in which over 45 were killed. After this incident a series of retaliatory attacks between the groups were started.
Authorities are trying to settle down this conflict between the rival tribes.
As the tensions are escalating officials have taken some precautionary measures in the area. Authorities have issued orders for the closure of all schools and colleges across the Kurram district. They have issued emergency alert in the district and advised the residents to remain in their houses.
Local police have also announced that businesses, educational institutions and markets will remain close until the conflict eases. Authorities have also shut down the mobile signals across the Kurram district.
Despite efforts by local law enforcement to mediate and ease tensions, both rival groups continue to target each other.
