11 pilgrims dead in bus accident on Makran coastal highway

At least 11 pilgrims were dead in a bus accident on Makran coastal highway, Tv reports say.

Another 35 sustained injured when the passenger bus fell into a ditch, as per media reports.

The bus was taking passengers from neighbouring Iran to Pakistan. The tragic accident occurred in Hub.

The bus was carrying passengers from Iran to Pakistan. The passengers belonged to different cities of Punjab and were visiting Iran for pilgrimage. Majority of them belong to Gujranwala and Lahore, emergency services say.

Rescue operation in underway and the emergency services are shifting injured

to local hospitals.

The Coast Guard, Basic Health Unit (BHU) Rasmalan, MERC 1122 Rasmalan are conducting rescue operation.

They have recovered 11 bodies and shifted seven injured to DHQ Uthal, Lasbela.
