100 US intelligence officers will be dismissed by Tulsi Gabbard, US director of national intelligence, for posting sexually explicit texts.
They did this mischief in National Security Agencyoperated chat rooms.
Gabbard told Jesse Watters of Fox News in an interview, “What is truly only a disgusting breach of trust is carried out by over 100 people from throughout the intelligence field.” Today I issued an order declaring their firing and the revocation of their security clearances.”
She continued, “They were brazen in using an NSA medium meant for professional applications to carry out this kind of really, really heinous behavior.”.”
First to expose the chatroom messages was Christopher Rufo, a City Journal conservative blogger and activist.
DNI spokeswoman Alexa Henning said earlier on Tuesday on X that several intelligence agencies have been told to by Friday identify and sack employees who participated in the versus clear chat and to cancel their security accesses.
Henning said the DNI sent a note telling every intelligence agency to find the workers who were active in the NSA’s “obscene, pornographic, and sexually explicit” chatroom and then fire their employment and revoke their security clearance.
A senior administration official said that intelligence community members’ middle level have been reaching Gabbard on this topic.
Following the NSA’s statement of probes and knowledge of intelligence officers posting remarks that “seem to indicate inappropriate discussions,” Gabbard speaks.
“Potential misuse of these platforms by a small group of individuals does not represent the community.” The bureau said X that investigations were still going on to solve this abuse of government programmes.
